Owners and teachers
Emil and Ruta Ioukhnikov are the founders of Dance Fever Studio. Having both begun their dance careers at a very young age in Lithuania (Emil, at age five, and Ruta, age eight), they've had truly successful careers as dancers and as teachers. They began dancing together when they were just in their teens, and went on to win major competitions throughout Europe. They later moved to Israel and opened their own studio, where they coached children and youth dance pairs.
A number of their students became winners and finalists in major European competitions in Germany, Holland, France, England, and Italy. On numerous occasions, their couples became national champions who represented Israel at the World Championships. Shortly after their arrival in the United States, they opened Dance Fever. The studio grew tremendously within just one year, attracting students ages 8 to 80. Currently, the studio is the largest kids' ballroom studio in North America.
