Information for Single Girls
Most of the competitions listed here will also be hosting singles events for competitors without partners. Dance Fever strongly recommends that girls who are serious about dancing but as yet do not have a partner sign up to compete as singles. Male "Teacher" partners will be provided to all interested girls on a first come first serve basis, with a strict limit of four girls per "Teacher". Dont wait until the last minute to sign up as availability of a partner is not guaranteed.
Boys and Girls Dress Code (Gold level and below or age 11 and under)
Girls: Simple one color dress and panties (same color as dress) or leotard with plain skirt attached. One simple circular underskirt allowed with no frills on underskirt or skirt. Skirt must be no more than 4" above knee and should go down no farther than just below the knee cap.
Shoes: Block (square) heel no higher than 1.5". Absolutely no decorations of any kind will be permitted (rhinestones, sequins, flowers, bows, etc.)
Boys: Black trousers with optional underfoot strap. Plain white long sleeved shirt (no shiny or patterned materials). No wing collar or rolled up sleeves permitted. Black tie or bow tie is mandatory. Absolutely no decorations or jewelry of any kind!
Shoes: Black, low heel (1" max), worn with black sox.
All competitors's costumes must be inspected and approved by instructor prior to competition.
