At our studio, we make it a point to offer equal opportunities to anyone and everyone who’d like to learn to dance. In some cases, you might prefer to go it alone, to be more independent in your approach and not worry about coordinating with another individual. Alternatively, if you’d eventually like to find a steady dance partner, we have lots of opportunities to meet new dancers like yourself.
Group classes and private lessons are both great ways to get started. In a group class, teachers will often rotate the pairings, so students have a chance to switch off and try dancing with different people. In a private lesson, on the other hand, you have the opportunity to receive individualized attention, where the teacher will step in as your partner and guide you. Social parties are also a wonderful way to meet potential partners, or just have fun dancing with lots of different people in a social setting. Finally, Pro-Am options offer a way for students to compete in Dancesport competitions even if they don’t have an amateur partner of their own level.
