Ballroom Boot Camp - an Invigorating Dance Experience
There is sometimes nothing more motivating and fulfilling than a full-on intensive dance training session. It keeps up the body's momentum, improves focus, trains the muscles, and gets you "in the zone." For these reasons, our studio offers what we call "Boot Camps for Dancers."
Our boot camps are a combination of cardio, dance technique, stretching, and all-around dance training. Depending on the time of year, they may help prepare dancers for major competitions, or simply boost energy and strength to gear up for the coming dance season. They are always led by our professional staff, who motivate and engage students to achieve their full potential in dance.
A typical day will begin with a stretching and warm-up session, giving dancers the opportunity to ease into the day of training and intensive activity. After limbering up, students begin a group dance lesson that may focus on either styling, technique, or another valuable element of the teacher's choosing. The day continues with a variety of dance lessons, interspersed with lunch and snack breaks to keep up students' energy. Pilates is also incorporated into the day's events, offering a slightly different angle on overall fitness training. The day is rounded out by a series of "practice runs," or rounds, in which students go through their routines several times without stopping to really get used to the rhythm and pace of competition.
We always have the student's well-being and best interests in mind, and with that strive to offer our dancers the very best intensive training possible. We aim to motivate, engage, and encourage our students so that they enjoy the process as much as they do the results.
